D1 Reclaimed Denim Chair

$3,400.00

Louis Kahn once asked a brick what it wanted to be, and it answered him - “an arch.” Yesterday, we asked some denim scraps what they wanted to be, and now they won’t shut up about it. Introducing the D1 Chair - the first in a series of experiments stretching the capabilities of reclaimed denim.

The seat of this chair has no metal, no wires, no wood… just denim that has undergone a process we call BLOCKING. Stressed on the seat to provide a smooth textured finish, solid on the back for rigidity and contrast.

Wears like a pair of jeans, sits like… a chair.

This piece is comprised of denim scraps from the cutting room floor of Raleigh Denim Workshop in Raleigh North Carolina.
