A block of styrofoam protected lab equipment as it moved across the country to Morrisville NC. Nearing the end of its service before heading to the landfill, it stumbled into our workshop. Like mad scientists, we gave it new life - no longer styrofoam, this block has been stripped of oxygen, exposing thing structures of polystyrene set alight by integrated LEDs.
Delicate, dream-like, and ethereal, grounded by a concrete plinth. The pinnacle of upcycled lighting.
